Read this very carefully and understand its implications and why your actions can MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

March 19th 2003: BBC Business World:

Clive Prestovich, former economic advisor to the President Ronald Regan Administration, and presently President at the Economic Strategy Institute in Washington.

"Regardless of how long the war is there is going to be a long period of occupation and reconstruction, and that is likely to be very expensive. And given that the US is already facing a kind of large and growing budget deficit as far into the future you can see and, given the US doesn't have any savings to begin with, the prospects, it seems to me, are for higher interest rates and sluggish growth.

I think that there may be some sharing (of the costs of rebuilding and reconstruction). but given the circumstances of the war, the fact that most of the world doesn't want this war, I imagine that other countries will be reluctant to chip in a lot.

It was very different in 1991 when the war was essentially paid for by the rest of the world. The US actually made money on the war in 1991. I don't think that is going to be the case now."

We have to recognise that the entire structure of the global economy is built on the US current account deficit, which means that the global system works as long as the rest of the world is willing to lend money to the US. Right now the US needs to have an inflow of about 500 billion dollars net of foreign capital annually and the more that we go into debt, the bigger our government budget deficit is, the larger that foreign borrowing requirement becomes because we have virtually no private sector savings. My concern is that the US international debt situation is already unprecendently large and probably unsustainable over the long term."

Millions of people around the world,

like me,

are against the intention of the USA, with its coalition,

to wage a war against Iraq.

Most of us who stand for Anti War are not Muslims.

I, for one, am a Christian who believes in Christ's philosophy of

"Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself"

I always remember that any enemy is also my neighbour.

My Almighty God did not give me,

or any other leader in this world,

a commandment to kill our neighbours.

God's Commandment stands undiluted as

"THOU SHALT NOT KILL "

There is

ONLY ONE WAY

to stop this brutal plan

to annihilate the Iraqi people,

especially its women and children.

That power lies entirely in your hands.

Mahatma Gandhi showed the way of non-violence.

I can show you another more effective way,
